We Need Each Other

This is God's design for us
This is God's design for us

Introduction

Today I want to share some thoughts on what it truly means to be a man and a woman. These are personal reflections based on faith, and while I hope they inspire you, remember that they are my opinions shaped by scripture and experience.

What Does It Mean to Be a M.A.N.?

M.A.N. =  Makes Ascension of Negativity

As a man we must first remember our place.  In the chain of life, God is always first. Everything we have was given to us. Nothing originates from us. “For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?”  1 Corinthians 4:7

Before God formed man, we existed in a state that was negative / incomplete. Not negative as in bad, but negative as the opposite of full or realized. Think of a mold of a coin: the mold exists, but the actual coin gives it substance. Likewise, our existence became reality when God made us in His image and breathed life into our lungs. “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” – Genesis 2:7

That is why negativity becomes life when God fills us. Now let’s break down the acronym:

Makes. God gave man the ability to create not only through physical birth (which requires both man and woman), but also through thought, innovation, and action. Genesis 1:28

Ascension. To rise, progress, and grow spiritually, we must put God first. Matthew 6:33

Negativity. Represents the incomplete state we came from. Through God, that void becomes life.

A man cannot call himself a man of God if God is not the foundation. 1 Corinthians 3:11. When we are joined in marriage we do so in the presence of God.  The vows only become relevant when both M.A.N. and W.O.M.A.N. recognize God as the alpha and omega in all things.  With so much pressure placed on man, how does he continue to do what he was destined to do.....W.O.M.A.N

The Role of W.O.M.A.N.

W.O.M.A.N. = Weaves Out Man’s Aggressive Nature

A woman is a blessing from God. A helpmate who brings balance and peace. Genesis 2:18. The flesh is weak, which is why it must rest aka be in a moment of peace. Elevation require moments of resting, hence Positive Energy Activates Constant Elevation. Don’t believe me? Look at the difference in woman can make in a man when she brings peace rather than turmoil. Being a helpmate does not mean being inferior. Following a husband only applies when he follows God. In that case, the woman isn’t following a man, she’s following God through the man He leads. – Ephesians 5:22

Should a woman cater to a man’s every whim? No. Doing so would rob him of his God given responsibility and growth. Remember, you are called W.O.M.A.N., not T.O.M.A.N. (Takes Over Man’s Aggressive Nature). Your role is to strengthen the fabric of the relationship; like weaving threads into something to make stronger and whole.

Weaves – To strengthen, to unite, to repair weak areas. If a broken string is allowed to remain in a blanket, the blanket has a flaw which can lead to it's ultimate demise.

Out – To remove what harms or weakens.

Man’s Aggressive Nature

Men often attack problems head-on with laser focus and can become stubborn. A woman brings perspective and calm, helping him see what he might miss. Proverbs 14:1Sex should never be used as a weapon by either partner. Intimacy is a gift from God for married couples, not a bargaining chip. 1 Corinthians 7:1-4

Unity in Purpose

Neither man nor woman can create life alone. Neither can fulfill their God-given role without the other. Genesis 2:24

That unity reflects God’s design: Man leads through God’s instruction, not pride. Ephesians 5:23

Woman supports through wisdom and kindness, not control. Proverbs 31:26

Even in parenting, unity matters. If a father disciplines, the mother disagrees but the child is not in danger, discuss it privately. Correct in love without undermining each other. Mark 3:25

A Closing Reflection

Humanity didn’t fall because Eve ate the fruit alone. It fell because Adam chose to follow her action instead of God’s command. Genesis 3:17The lesson: both man and woman must honor God first, then honor each other. I didn’t learn to love my wife properly until I allowed God to love me.

Men, listen to your woman—even when you think you’re right. Proverbs 19:20

Women, trust your man—when he walks in God’s purpose.

Both, keep God at the center. Ecclesiastes 4:12

Together, seek peace. Together, seek Christ. For through Him, both man and woman find wholeness.

May your spirit be lifted today. Blessings.
